IslesWe make community
We make things. Driven to create interesting games, and grow fantastic communities, Isles started out with the Minecraft server Island Clash, but we've expanded beyond that. Offering premium servers to large online influencers, with the addition of PrisonMC - and a bunch more upcoming - we've grown dramatically. Having gathered a strong, multi-skilled team, we take pride in taking a new community-driven server from its basic concept, designing it as you would a fully fledged game, and taking it all the way through to release, with massive expansions released after launch.
Existing software - such as Minecraft - serve as platforms for us to make brand new and exclusive games a lot easier than a standalone endeavor, and this has allowed us to hone our tool set to be able to scale up and produce extremely extensive servers with ease. At Isles, we take great delight in ensuring that all of our released products are the very best that they can possibly be, and will not release something until that is the case. Providing unique gameplay experiences to large communities is what we do.We're hiring! Come join us
Weaving together elements from Clash of Clans, and RTS classics like Age of Empires, Island Clash is a large, custom server. Players band together on islands, then gather resources to purchase and place various buildings around the map. Each building has a different purpose - the armoury sells armour, and fletchers sells bows. While they upgrade and expand their kingdom, they will be attacked by enemy players, who spawn in on their island bristling with weapons to try and destroy their buildings. Returning the favour by going out to attack enemies, the players can get big rewards, including Victory Points that give their island a placement in the monthly network-wide league system.
This server is massive, with a large, automatic back end that expands and contracts in size dependent on the player count, while also giving us powerful tools to manage the different server types, whether that be islands, warfares, Skyfarers or anything else. As such, it took nearly 10 months to make, and even now, over a year into its release, it is still an ever-expanding, developing product as we flesh out existing mechanics, and add new ones. We are proud to call it our centerpiece as a company, for you cannot find a play experience like it in anywhere else.
We were commissioned by an influencer to make a large scale, custom prison server. Not wanting to just tack on some cool gimmicks to what is definitely a generic gametype, we stripped the core gameplay right down, and integrated a RPG-feel, with a modular, upgradeable transport that the player uses to get around the maps. The first theme being the Wild West, this is a caravan, and players upgrade parts of it with money to reach new lands, and unlock special abilities. Going out to explore new mine areas, players load up their transport storage with rare minerals and other trinkets to bring back to the city and sell. However, they must be careful, for the lands are dangerous, and ambushes are frequent.
This server was the first one we made in direct conjunction with an influencer, and we built off of the knowledge and technology from Island Clash to allow us to scale up the development of this server a lot faster than normal, and giving us time to develop new cool effects that most other servers don't have, such as whole buildings and sets that are visible to only specific players.
